The Cincinnati Romance Review is a peer-reviewed electronic journal published by the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures of the University of Cincinnati.
The journal was founded in 1981-82, the year after the Cincinnati Conference on Romance Languages and Literatures began. Félix Menchacatorre and Eric Pennington were the managing editors, John Wilhite the supervising editor, and Donald W. Bleznick the executive editor. Since 2008, the Cincinnati Romance Review has been published in electronic form.

Forthcoming special issue of the Cincinnati Romance Review Vol 35: Julia Kristeva: The Subject in Process - Le sujet en procès / The fertility of thought – La pensée féconde. Guest Editors: Michèle E. Vialet, Irene Ivantcheva-Merjanska, Azucena G. Blanco, and Stefan Hollstein.

We invite original submissions for our regular issue Vol. 36 (Fall 2013) on French and Italian literatures. PLEASE NOTE: Due to a very high volume of submissions, we are not currently accepting new essays on Hispanic literatures for our Fall 2013 issue. Spanish submissions for the Fall 2014 issue will be accepted, on a rolling basis, starting September 1, 2013.
